What are flyers used for?

Flyers are a form of advertisement and can be a marketing tool. They usually have a short lifespan. Due to their format, usually single page, smaller than A4, they are great to announce one key message, such as an event, a promotion or new launch.

A flyer is exceptionally beneficial in gaining the attention of the audience. It helps to explain a business's strong point, promote trade, and express all products and services details.

At present, we all know that social media platforms are very much facilitative to convey a message to the audiences. Likewise, historically, all businesses preferred to print flyers, and there was a special purpose behind it. Flyers were meant to create awareness and to present business specialty and product details to the public.

What are the main components of a flyer?

To design a flyer that is effective and presents your intended information well, there are key elements you should always include and use correctly.

  • A clear, concise goal or purpose. What's your purpose in designing a flyer? Try focusing on one aspect you want to promote whether it's to sell a certain product, invite people to an event, or use a service.
  • A Popping Headline. Now that you have established your purpose for the flyer, you will need to create a popping headline. Why? Because it's what will most likely be the first thing read on your flyer, so make it interesting.
  • An Overall Motivating Message. This is your call to action line. A call to action is a message that makes the reader want to act; otherwise, the flyer will be useless to the reader. Call to action words like buy now, call today, contact us, come in, and enter to win, lets the reader know how to act on what they read.
  • Graphics or Pictures. Design a flyer with vivid images relative to the concept of the flyer and ones that are eye catching. Your logo is an important visual to place on the flyer as well.
  • Contact Information. DO NOT forget to add this to your flyer. How else will anyone contact you if they don't have a phone number or address? You may also want to consider adding info like your name, website, e-mail address, Facebook business page, or Twitter profile.

How do I receive my compact social-media flyer?

Once we have designed the full colour (8bit RGB), 300dpi resolution, single-page, JPEG flyer image for you to post via Whatsapp, the image will be sized accordingly for use across various social media platforms. Current these platforms are Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram.

What is the benefit of flyers?
